Great place to enjoy a country style meal! Rustic atmosphere which caters well to the agriculture and equine theme of the surrounding area. Buffet and Salad bar is one of the best around! Definitely a must visit if you are in the Inner Banks region of NC.

What a unique inviting place. There's so much character and charm in this hidden gem. Fast service, very friendly and excellent food.All prepared fresh. The home made chips and ranch dip is so delicious. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.Very clean and well kept place.I didn't try the buffet but it's on the bucket list now. Save money by paying cash.

An awsome place to enjoy food and a friendly atmosphere we enjoy this place......Had one bad experience with a cashier that was having a bad day but even that couldn't drive us away from seeing our excellent server "CINDY" on a regular basis......The menu and buffet is wonderful not to mention the best Salad Bar I've seen.......TRY THE BEETS THEIR AWSOME.......True dining treat

I must say the team at the Hitchin Post thoroughly took care of my family event with the utmost care. We had a party of 50. The food and the service and was top tier. The majority of our guest selected the buffet and were all totally satisfied. The food was hot and fresh each trip up. The wait staff was attentive to our needs with an abundance of southern hospitality. Thanks again for exceeding our expectations for my father's 75th.

I’d been coming to the Hitch-N Post for the past 15 years when I visit Williamston and I’ve always been impressed with the quality of the food, whether it’s the buffet or menu items. In recent years we’ve enjoyed their Thanksgiving dinners, which have been delicious and abundant. I feel drawn to write this first review because the food today was exceptional, even better than my last visit, which, admittedly, has been three years. The flavor of the food has climbed a notch. The collards and cabbage were very flavorful. The fried chicken was crisp as always, but tasted so fresh and moist. The overall look of the buffet seems to have been upgraded along with the preparation. If I lived closer, I would be eating here all the time. This is a restaurant I would proudly recommend or bring friends to great for Southern comfort food. I don’t know what has changed but the change has resulted in an improvement. The service was friendly and professional. It’s just a great place for a meal that feels like home.

Great atmosphere...Great service...Great food...Whether you are from the area or not ... absolutely a great place for the country cook'n feel I highly recommend!!!I had steak with red skin mashed potatoes...Lil woman had flounder awesome!
